The Alliance Française de Jersey is pleased to welcome you to the openning of the exhibition Balade dans la Normandie du XIXè siècle, introducing a selection of copies of the 139 private collection of drawings by Joseph Le Dieu, a lawyer from Avranches who was a "distinguished mind and friend of the fine arts, a skilled draughtsman and landscape artist" and a member of the Society of Archaeology, Science and Art.
This event is organised in collaboration with la Maison de la Normandie et de la Manche and the Société Jersiaise, which will also host part of the collection. The works will be divided into the following themes:
- Rural landscapes in parallel by the artist P. J. Ouless at the Société Jersiaise
- Twinned towns with Jersey at the Maison de la Normandie et de la Manche
- Trade, buildings, people and animals at the Alliance Française de Jersey
A selection of Norman products will be offered for tasting during the evening.
