Join the Alliance Française de Jersey for a convivial evening of poetry and music celebrating freedom, the theme of the 2026 Printemps des Poètes.

Through readings from Victor Hugo—the great defender of liberty who once lived in exile in Jersey—including his famous poem “Liberté”, along with a few other texts (some in English), this event brings words, history, and music together in a unique setting: Bar La Bastille, a name that echoes the very idea of freedom.

It will also be a chance to meet Stéphane Aucante, the new director of the Alliance Française, and share a drink together.
